How to convert WebP to PNG
- Choose a WebP file and wait for its preview to appear.
- PNG is already selected. Select Convert to PNG to create your image.
- Download the PNG file and check its appearance in the app or website where you plan to use it.
Use a WebP image in a PNG-only editor while retaining any decoded transparency. PNG adds no further lossy encoding, but it cannot undo earlier WebP compression. The result is a single still image and may be larger.
What changes in your image
Your WebP file
WebP can contain transparency and animation. This tool processes the still image decoded by your browser and does not preserve animated frames.
Your PNG result
PNG uses lossless output encoding and supports transparency. There is no quality slider. Lossless encoding does not recover information missing from the source file.
Original metadata is removed. Keep your original file if you need camera details, color profiles or an archival copy. Conversion does not guarantee a smaller download.
