How to convert HEIC to ICO
- Choose a HEIC or HEIF file and wait for its preview to appear.
- ICO is already selected. Select Convert to ICO to create your image.
- Download the ICO file and check its appearance in the app or website where you plan to use it.
Turn a still iPhone photo into a multi-size Windows or website icon. Photos with a clear central subject work best at small sizes. The image is fitted into square frames without stretching or removing its background.
What changes in your image
Your HEIC file
HEIC and HEIF use the same converter here. Supported files are decoded on your device; unusual, incomplete or damaged HEIF variants may still fail. Only the primary still photo is used.
Your ICO result
ICO output contains 16, 32, 48 and 256 px PNG frames. Each frame keeps the source proportions with transparent padding; larger source images are resized and small inputs may be upscaled.
Original metadata is removed. Keep your original file if you need camera details, color profiles or an archival copy. Conversion does not guarantee a smaller download.
