How to convert AVIF to WebP
- Choose a AVIF file and wait for its preview to appear.
- WebP is already selected. Adjust the quality, then select Convert to WebP.
- Download the WebP file and check its appearance in the app or website where you plan to use it.
Create a WebP still image from AVIF for a site that accepts WebP but cannot use AVIF. Check both visual detail and size after conversion; re-encoding an efficient AVIF can produce a larger or less detailed image.
What changes in your image
Your AVIF file
AVIF input must be readable by your browser. Unsupported variants need a fresh export from an app that can open the original. This tool produces a still image and does not preserve HDR metadata.
Your WebP result
WebP output supports transparency and uses adjustable lossy quality in this tool. A smaller download is possible but depends on the input and quality setting.
Original metadata is removed. Keep your original file if you need camera details, color profiles or an archival copy. Conversion does not guarantee a smaller download.
