Merge PDF files in the right order

Open Merge PDF

A cover sheet, a report and an appendix are easier to send as one document. Minutil's Merge PDF combines complete files in the order shown in the tool. Start by checking your originals so the finished document is complete and easy to read.

Prepare the files you want to combine

Open each source PDF before merging. Check the first and last page, remove any unrelated documents from your selection, and keep a copy of the originals. If you only need a few pages from a document, use Extract PDF pages first and save that smaller selection.

Page operations can invalidate digital signatures, and document-level forms or bookmarks may not survive a merge. If preserving a signed or interactive original matters, share that original separately and review any combined copy before relying on it.

Combine the documents

  1. Select at least two PDFs

Open Merge PDF and choose the files together. Wait while the tool reads their pages. Follow the current file, batch and page limits shown in the interface.

  2. Check the displayed order

Files are combined in the order shown, not an assumed alphabetical order. Use Reverse file order if the whole list is backwards. For a different arrangement, adjust the source selection and check the list again.

  3. Create and download

Choose Create PDF. Keep the page open until the result is ready, then download the combined file.

  4. Review the boundaries

Open the download and check where one source document ends and the next begins. Verify the page count, orientation and any pages with small text.

Need to move or rotate individual pages?

Merge PDF controls the order of whole documents. To rearrange individual pages, open Organize PDF and select the merged file you just downloaded. Use its page controls to reorder, remove or rotate pages, then create a new PDF.

For example, if a report's cover belongs at the very front but its remaining pages belong after an introduction, merge the documents first and move the cover in Organize PDF. Check the final page count again after removing anything.

If a file is rejected

  • Encrypted or password-protected PDF: use an authorized, unprotected copy that you can edit. This workflow does not unlock protected files.
  • Damaged or incomplete PDF: open the original in a PDF reader and export a fresh copy if possible.
  • Batch or page limit: extract only the pages you need or combine fewer documents. Splitting the job does not remove the final output's memory requirements.
